Christian hip hop act and Dove Award nominee Rapture Ruckus are offering a free song download as their way of supporting people affected by the earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Brad Dring, aka MC Rapture, hails from Wellington, New Zealand, and has just returned to his base in the States following a tour of his home country with Newworldson and Manafest, which included a stop in Christchurch.

He hopes people will download "Hold On" and share it with their friends and family.

“In our country's darkest hour we pray God’s light will shine brighter than ever before,” he said.

“Over the last few days we've seen many people quoting lyrics from our song 'Hold On' on Facebook and other social networks. "We are giving this free download of the song so you can share it with your friends or anyone you think it may help or encourage. "We also hope that those of you unaffected by the earthquake would take this opportunity by donating to help rebuild the lives of those affected by this horrible tragedy.”

Rapture Ruckus have just received their first GMA Dove Award nomination with their self-titled album, which is up for “Rap / Hip-Hop Album of the Year".   Christian Post
